Hanging Hands
The human body is a manifestation of nature and the meeting point of physical and mental space. Especially in a religious and traditional society, and in the Middle East and beyond in Iran, the human body is a place where emotions, repression, and dos and don’ts intersect. The body is suppressed by the person, family, society, and power structures, and it loses its connection with itself and its awareness.
Men’s experience is different. Growing up in a patriarchal society and trying to know himself and loosen the ropes of years of repression is a long, winding, and painful path to overcome customs and rediscover his right behaviors. In addition, connecting with nature can help men’s minds and bodies to better understand this millennia-old connection. Become more aware of yourself. Recognize your abilities and not be afraid of being vulnerable and sharing it with other bodies. Become closer to your “self”.
This collection is an effort to connect the mind and body and escape from the musts and obligations of social and governmental customs. An effort to know oneself, connect with the suppressed inner child, and make peace with him, not be afraid to speak of fears and vulnerabilities, and become better day by day, like a constant and everyday struggle, like life.
