In the summer of 2014, at the age of 25, I traveled to Morocco for a volunteer project, teaching English to schoolchildren. Over the course of a month, I moved through Marrakech, Fez, Casablanca, Tangier, Tetouan, Agadir, and Rabat, encountering unfamiliar places, people, and experiences. Many of the photographs from that journey were lost when my camera and laptop were stolen after I returned to Iran; these are the images that remained.
